Overview: 清心福全 is one of the oldest boba tea chains in Taiwan. However, both its tea and its pearls are substandard, with too-watery tea and inconsistent, deformed pearls. The utensils provided are unfortunately low quality and its service is, although fast, not trained in the aspect of professionalism.

Quality of the Boba Tea (QBT): 51.5/80


Quality of the Pearl: 24.8/40

  • Chewiness: 6/10 - The pearl is extraordinarily chewy. However, after several chews, they break apart on the tongue with a less-enjoyable texture. Several of the pearls are also soft and have turned into an unpleasant layer of film.

  • Hard/softness: 6/10 - Because the pearls are not consistent throughout the drink, several of the pearls are just right, and most others are too soft. They stick to the teeth and peel and pull apart.

  • Relative size: 1.9/2.5 - The size of the boba is regular. Because the pearls are slightly deformed, they appear smaller than they ought to be if they were sturdy and turgor.

  • Amount of Pearl (relative to Volume of Drink): 1.9/2.5 - There is too much tea relative to the number of pearls or rather too few pearls in the drink. After drinking regularly, with around four to five pearls per slurp, the amount of tea left is around one-fifth of the drink.

  • Lumpiness: 5/5 - There were no lumps of pearls that made a jam in the straw, which resulted in full points.

  • Taste (or sweetness level): 2/5 - The pearl's aftertaste and taste during the chew is slightly strange. Perhaps because it was infused with tea (which is overly concentrated and has a slightly abnormal taste).

  • Spherical quality and perfection (of pearl): 2/5 - The pearls are not consistent throughout the drink, with several of them regular-sized and just the right amount of hardness, and others flat in nature and deformed, with layers of film around them.

Quality of Tea: 26.7/40

  • Sweetness: 6.5/10 - The tea was on the less sweet side, which was not entirely unpleasant. Given that the pearl was already sweetened, it struck a nice balance.

  • Milkiness: 6.8/10 - There is relatively more milk detectable in the drink than in other stores.

  • Concentration of tea: 6/10 - The tea in the drink is less detectable than in other stores, with a more watery taste, some milk, and a slight tang of tea.

  • Aftertaste: 2.4/5 - There is almost no aftertaste after drinking the tea, only that of the grains of pearl left after chewing, partially due to the fact that the tea is mostly water.

  • Wateriness: 5/10 - The amount of water is a lot, diluting the tea, milk, and sugar powerfully.

Quality of the Shop (QS): 11.5/20

  • Delivery Speed: 3.2/5 - The delivery speed was incredibly quick, with the total process of making the drink under 15 seconds. The process of receiving the order and giving the drink was incredibly fast, with the whole procedure lasting under a minute.

  • Quality of Store: 2.7/5 - The quality of the store was substandard compared to the largeness of the boba chain. Although the space was quite large (with 2 people working in the environment), the materials used and the outlook of the entire store were somber and low quality.

  • Quality of Service: 3/5 - The service was substandard, with the server acting less than professional, and not entirely friendly but with an almost rude nonchalance. However, this attitude was not over-the-top and is given a base point of 3 points.

  • Quality of Utensils: 2.6/5 - The utensils used were substandard. The cup did not insulate the drink well. The plastic wrapping was hastily and haphazardly wrapped, with the text on the wrapping slightly off-center. The bag is extremely low quality, like that of a doggy bag, with terrible design and offsetting color (green).
